Internationalization is one of the priorities of Samara State University. Within the context of integration processes going on in education, creation of common higher education area and increasing academic mobility, international cooperation becomes an integral part of university development, its successful functioning in world educational community.
Center of International Relations and Marketing of Samara State University coordinates extension of international cooperation of the university, academic students and scholars exchanges, organizes and assists other departments in organizing conferences, provides international travel support for incoming and outgoing students and scholars.
Samara State University cooperates actively with international funds and organizations in realizing academic and research programs: DAAD, Fulbright, IREX, Alliance Francaise, CDS International, USAID. We consult students, graduates and scholars on grants and projects writing, give presentations about numerous grant opportunities. SSU students have options of having internships in different countries. Foreign students from the USA, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil, France, England come to study Russian at SSU.
Visiting professors from the USA and Germany annually come to SSU to give lectures. SSU professors and lecturers willingly and successfully participate in various international events: conferences, seminars, research projects. Every year SSU organizes several international conferences and summer schools in humanities and sciences.
SSU is a member of The Eurasian Universities Association (EUA) and the Consortium “International cooperation” which united higher education institutions of Samara region and the USA to run joint research and educational projects and to participate in grant programs.
Samara State University is among 20 Russian Classical universities participating in the Oxford Russian Fund scholarship program. The program is designed to support talented students of humanities, social and economic sciences in their academic and research activities. Selected students get numerous opportunities for academic development such as participating in scientific conferences, summer and winter schools and workshops, internships in Russia and abroad.
Samara State University issues the European Diploma Supplement for its graduates of all majors since 2004. The European Diploma Supplement was jointly developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO. It provides information about courses taken and results obtained that can be easily understood by employers and educational institutions internationally.
